If your New Hampshire church is struggling or has found itself suddenly without a lead pastor, turning to an experienced interim pastor could be the best option in a difficult situation. The interim pastors at VitalChurch Ministry are uniquely gifted to help churches in all types of trying circumstances. Whether your church has seen a slow decline over many years or there was a sudden tragedy that caused things to go awry, VitalChurch can step in and lead your church with compassion and strength. Not only will they come in and preach gospel-centered sermons, but they will help your church make any needed changes in areas like governance, staffing, mission and vision, and interpersonal relationships.
The VitalChurch Process: A Biblically Based, Three-Phase Approach
All New Hampshire churches that work with VitalChurch Ministry are required to go through a church health assessment, which we call our Diagnostic Analyisis. In this assessment, our diagnostic team will take a “deep dive” into your church to discover what you are doing well and where your real issues lie. Often, the issues at the surface are not the “real” issues facing your church. Our assessment will get to the heart of your church, so you can then start making needed changes.
The second phase of our process is the interim pastor period. One of our experienced interim pastors will come to your New Hampshire church for an extended period of time—typically 12-24 months—and immerse himself in the life of your church. He will work with your staff, the governing board, and the congregation to start making changes in response to the issues identified in the Diagnostic Analysis. While he is there, he will also deliver gospel-centered messages that challenge and encourage your congregation to grow closer to Jesus. If needed, he will help your church establish or recommit to its mission and vision.
Finally, after the interim period is over, your church will receive follow-up coaching from VitalChurch. We are committed to the long-term success of your church. Our team will continue to be a valuable resource as you transition into your next phase of ministry.
Interim Pastors for Denominational and Nondenominational Churches in New Hampshire
Whether your church is part of a denomination or is an independent congregation, VitalChurch can help. We will carefully match your church with the interim pastor from our team who is the best fit, given your church’s doctrinal beliefs and congregational distinctives. If you are part of a denomination, our interim pastors can work with your denomination and maintain communication with denominational or associational leadership.
Another service we offer is interim pastor training for denominations with their own team of interim pastors. Interim pastoring is a very unique type of ministry, and our team can offer valuable training and guidance based on their many years of experience and research.
Not Consultants, Pastors with Pastors’ Hearts
At VitalChurch, we don’t consider ourselves church consultants. We don’t just offer advice to struggling churches; rather, we direct, empower, and facilitate change. What is more, we love the Church. It is our desire to see every church brought to a place of healing and revitalization. We do that by working in the trenches with existing leadership and bringing about transformation together, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. All of our interim pastors have felt called by God into this unique type of ministry, and have the skills and the heart that are necessary to be an effective interim pastor.
