Interim Pastor Training and Church Health Assessments for Denominations and Networks
Church networks and denominations can benefit from the services of VitalChurch when they have a need for an outside, objective perspective. Our team has been called on by networks and denominations to provide their member churches with intentional interim pastors, train their own interim pastors, or when there is a short-term coaching need.
Regional and District Assessments
VitalChurch can be brought in by your church network or denomination for our expertise in diagnostic analysis of a particular region, which usually shares unique challenges, as well as distinctive core values, mission, and vision. We can also assess whole districts, networks, or denominations. We have worked extensively with The Christian and Missionary Alliance to assess two of their North American Districts (each with over 100 congregations).
We have helped networks and denominations find answers to specific questions their leaders are asking, and have worked with network and denominational leaders to provide region-wide solutions to complex challenges affecting them.
Intentional Interim Pastors
VitalChurch provides experienced intentional interim pastors for churches belonging to networks or denominations throughout North America and the United Kingdom. Transitional seasons can be fraught with challenges, and difficulties, and also contain opportunities. We coach and encourage church leaders to renewed vitality and help the congregation to be ready to receive a new permanent pastor. When the time is right, our pastors can provide coaching and resources to a church’s pastoral search team.
Training for Network and Denominational Interim Pastors
For networks and denominations with their own developing team of interim pastors, VitalChurch can be brought in for in-depth training. These training seminars and workshops equip pastors for effective intentional interim work through lectures, small group discussions, as well as individual reflection and practice using case studies. A typical VitalChurch training seminar is four days long, but it can be adapted to fit the specific needs of the network or denomination and its interim pastors.
There is a difference between a standard interim pastor and an intentional interim pastor. Our training team for these seminars includes experts in intentional interim pastoring and leadership development with much experience in the field. We have produced some of the leading resources used by intentional interim pastors and have been featured speakers at a variety of training conferences.
